Use them to bite into a work piece for extra holding power or use the 45 degree dove tail. Serrated 17-4PH rails sit 0.10" above the aluminum carrier jaw to grip your stock. Designed to work on traditional 6" Kurt style machine vise with a 1/2" bolt pattern spacing of 3.875 between hole to hole and 0.94" high from vise bed . These jaws give you 1/2" of additional clamping on both side of the vise
