Check the listing for details. Antique Leather Cartridge Box Case Civil War Era 17 3/4" L. Condition: Used. Listed at 325.00 USD. Offered is a long narrow leather case with a leather shoulder strap. The case is closed by way of 3 leather straps and buckles. The case measures approximately 17 1/2" long x 2" wide and 4 1/2" in height. The shoulder strap is 45" long as buckled with another 7" for a total of 52" long. We could not find a maker's mark. We could not find another like it but assume it may have originally held a wood carbine cartridge box. The leather is in good condition but the shoulder strap is fragile in a few places and has been reinforced at some point. The leather around the buckles also show wear. One corner is buckled a little from use. Overall, the case has a wonderful patina. We are guessing at its age. Please look carefully at the photos.
