For sale is a beautiful pair of Classic Sioux or Cheyenne/Arapaho Beaded Moccasins from Buffalo Hide, from circa the 1870s-1880s.The moccasins are made of native tanned buffalo hide, sinew sewn, with rawhide soles. The uppers are decorated with Venetian beads, in a typical Central Plains checkerboard design, all sinew sewn, in only three bead colors white, dark blue, and rose-white-heart. Overall good condition. Hide is soiled but soft and supple. Clear signs of use. res. Na apparent loss of beads. An attractive pair of 1870s-1880s moccasins! The moccasins measure each circa 9 3/4" x 3 1/4". Provenance: purportedly ex-Cameron Blagg and ex-Fenn Family collection. Please take a good look at the pictures or ask questions before you bid.
