The coverage is approximately 540 khz to 2.0 mhz, when using the 160/40pf dual capacitor and knob set included. According to my L/C meter the total capacitance, with both sections connected in parallel, is around 210pf. You get a pre-wound coil (approx. 400uh) with a cathode tap at about 90uh for regenerative receivers, or just omit the tap connection and use both ends of the coil for a crystal radio. The kit comes with all parts in the photos--the pre-wound coil, an octal socket, and the polyvariable, with a 3/4 inch shaft and control knob. The coil dimensions are about 55mm tall x 38mm diameter (43mm dia. including the top pull ring).
