This is a new reproduction of the wool hat cord issued for US Cavalry before the 1930's change to rayon cords. Color is a dull yellow that is accurate for this period. This hat cord is adjustable and will fit all normal hat sizes, and is shown in the photo on a size 7 1/4 hat. Leather chinstrap for the campaign hat that is normally worn with the hat cord is sold in a separate listing. THIS IS NOT A HAT
