Colonial Period Osnaburg Sleeved WaistcoatSize 42Made of natural colored heavyweight cotton, our Osnaburg Sleeved Waistcoat is a versatile garment perfect for warm weather wear. Made in a popular style of the 1750's through 1760's it has a button front closure, faux pockets on the outside, and turnback cuffs. The body is unlined for maximum comfort in the heat. The front of the waistcoat is cut straight, making it suitable for period military impressions also. With very simple modifications like the cutting away of the front skirts in order to produce a more open design, the waistcoat can be transformed into common civilian style for colonial impressions from the 1750's through the 1780s.
