Vintage Garland No. 4 split head rawhide mallet. It is 13 5/8" in total length. The head is 5 3/8" wide and the handle is 10 5/8" long. It weighs 3 lb 12 oz. It has a lot of wear. The mallet part is worn off heavily on one side and worn on the other side as well. The metal part is rusted and has scratches. The handle did have tape wrapped around it but the handle is not split. The handle is sticky from the tape being there and it has scratches, indentations, and one piece towards the bottom was shaved off as shown in the pictures.
