A CLASSIC and LARGER THAN USUAL very old example of a vintage / antique Navajo Gallup Throw rug that looks to be from the CHINLE Trading Post area of the Navajo nation with a nice color palette including red, rust, cream, cocao brown. A nice size to use in a variety of settings or displays. Gallup Throws were made to be sold along the old Santa Fe and El Capitan railway lines between Chicago and Los Angeles from the early 30s on. Many of them were sold at the Gallup train station hence the name. Put this on the floor, under a vanity, over a couch, on a table, under another piece of art, or even under your laptop.
