This beautiful work is an authentic Kwakuitl salmon spawning wood carving by artist Demsey Willie. This handmade piece reflects the rich culture of Canadian Aboriginal communities, specifically the Kwakuitl tribe. With estate find provenance, this carving is a valuable collectible item that showcases the traditional craftsmanship and artistry of the Kwakuitl people. Item is approximately 47” long x 10.5” wide Note a small blemish by the tail in the photos. Appears to be paint. Otherwise the item is in beautiful shape. I found this at a local estate sale.
