The Papua New Guinea 100 Kina banknote was issued by the Bank of Papua New Guinea in 2008 to commemorate the Kina & Toea Day on April 19, 2009. It comes in a color combination of green and gold. The obverse displays the 35th-anniversary logo of the Bank of Papua New Guinea, the National Parliament building, and the national emblem with a bird of paradise on a Kundu drum and a ceremonial spear. The reverse of the note features a palm tree, cowrie shells, a fish, timber, a cargo vessel, an oil rig, a bird, a jumbo jet, a dump truck, and a microwave tower. The banknote was printed by DeLa Rue and is 150 x 75 mm in size. It bears an Optiks security thread with a demetalized BPNG 100 and a watermark that reflects the bank logo and Cornerstones. This commemorative banknote is in uncirculated condition.
