This nice quality 1.35 x 3.5 mm plug is prewired with 5 feet of 22 gauge stranded copper wire with a strain relief connection. (Typical length is 5 feet 1 inch). These are removed from Netgear power supplies. The wire is labeled UNICAB, 80 degrees Celsius, VW-1, 22 AWG (gauge) 300V. One insulator is solid black. The other insulator has a white band with white dashes to help track polarity. A research hint: When shopping for plugs, many wires are a thinner gauge (can handle less power), and are more fragile. A 22 gauge wire can carry twice the current of a comparable 26 gauge wire, and 33% more current than a comparable 24 gauge wire. The exposed metal barrel is short at 6mm, but at least one buyer was able to trim a narrow amount plastic from the plug to expose a longer mating surface for the plug.
