Cross belt plate. The Duke of Albany’s (Seaforth) Highlanders. Measures approximately 2 3/4” x 3 5/8”. In the era that this plate was worn, the 72nd received battle honors for the Siege of Sevastopol as part of Colin Campbell’s Highland Brigade in the Crimean War and in helping to suppress the Indian Rebellion, serving in the Central Indian Campaign.
