Cross belt plate. The Duke of Albany’s (Seaforth) Highlanders. Measures approximately 2 3/4” x 3 5/8”. In the era that this plate was worn, the 72nd received battle honors for the Siege of Sevastopol as part of Colin Campbell’s Highland Brigade in the Crimean War and in helping to suppress the Indian Rebellion, serving in the Central Indian Campaign. Lieutenant Aylmer Spicer Cameron of the 72nd was awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery in the Indian Mutiny. You are buying the material pictured. Postage is free (1st class with tracking).
