It features a classic red cross on a white background. The shield has been completely hand-crafted and hand-painted. Stainless steel studs line the edges, and dual leather straps secure the arm along the backside. This very large (yet maneuverable) shield measures about 47 inches in height and has the strongest wooden body you're going to find. It's made out of a smooth-surface composite wood which is considerably stronger than plywood. Several coats of topcoat/varnish have also been applied to protect the design from wear. (Please note: A sword is not included with this item). This would be perfect for either that upcoming Renaissance Festival or some backyard brawling. Trust me, this is one shield that pictures can't do justice, or show the time that I put into building it. Would also make a great surprise gift for that Renaissance-enthusiast you know!
