These are new reproductions of the SCABBARD ONLY for the trowel bayonet adopted in 1873 to go with the .45-70 Springfield rifle. Construction is exactly like originals: a sheet metal shell covered in leather. NOTE: Original bayonets were hand forged. Due to very slight variations in the dimensions of original bayonets, your bayonet might be a tight fit. If there is any problem we will accept a return with no problems. BAYONET IS NOT INCLUDED!
