This product is commonly used for RF shielding, audio shielding, reducing EMI interference and the list goes on. Component: 80.3% nickel, 14.3% iron, 5.4%molybdenum Dimensions: Size: 8 inch x 5.7 inch x .004 inch thick 203.2mm x 145mm x 0.1mm .004" thick means it's very malleable, can be shaped and cut (careful of sharp edges). However, made this thin means it cannot be baked at the usual 2000 degree for 3 hours in a vacuum--necessary to bring its shielding strength up 80%. Why? Bubbles will form during baking because it's too thin for baking. As some of you may know from experience, these bubbles will weaken the shielding where each bubble forms--making the entire plate useless. You may also know that no plate with this thickness is ever baked: nothing you have purchased at this thickness is baked. Again, anyone selling this product at this thickness is selling you unbaked metal. Our solution. We use a proprietary mix of gasses during annealing which boosts final shielding strength by up to 30% compared to not using any gas at all.
