I don't know much about these, but the display is bad - must have seen some moisture - see photos of the display. I put in new batteries and it beeps on - display checks with all the segments (those you can see) and then appears ready. If you have a bad unit with a good display, the display comes off with 4 small screws and a single connector. Seems all the pieces are here as well if you just need parts.
