Very Good to Excellent Condition. No Mothing. The set of "G W Simmons & Son, Boston" Buttons all match. Some Seams opening but nothing serious or unrepairable. The Tailor's tag is "T W Simmons & Son, Oak Hill, Boston" and indicates made for a "Mr. J O Royell". The uniform is shown with a pair of US Civil War Militia Epaulettes which are quite likely similar to the epaulettes that originally adorned this uniform and add to the visual impact of this unusual display piece. They are NOT however included in the auction. Illustration purpose only! This is a highly unique and unusual uniform despite its unknown provenance (other than tailor and US Staff Buttons) and will make a Marvelous Display Center Piece for your collection.
