Plastic bulkhead fittings are used anytime a hole is made in a tank or other structure (i.e. glass or acrylic) to simplify the attachment of plumbing pieces. The use of a plastic bulkhead fitting will help to reduce stress and avoid cracks and leakage. They also simplify the installation and removal of pumps and accessories. These bulkhead fittings are made of Black ABS Plastic, Manufactured in the USA. Bulkhead Fittings permit safe, quick pipe connections to plastic-metal or plastic lined tanks. Designed to prevent any possible leakage due to poor thread engagement. Hex shaped body and nut for easy installation. All of our Schedule 40 Fittings are NSF Rated 61, which means they are certified for use with drinking water. NSF stands for National Sanitation Foundation.
