Check the listing for details. 16" German Student Viola with Case, New Sound Post and Helicore Strings. Condition: Used, Made in Germany. Listed at 700.00 USD. A friend of mine bought this viola at a garage sale. It was in a case from a company that closed in the 80's. It also had a tuning fork in the case which would indicate that this was probably played in the 70's or 80's. I took it to the luthier that I use. He said it was definitely a German factory instrument and that it was a good student model. He replaced the sound post and adjusted the bridge and put Helicore strings on it. The viola player from a quartet I play cello in said that it plays well. It is full size so would be best for a junior or high school student. I spent $200 setting it up. There is a bow but the button is broken so it probably wouldn't be worth repairing.
