Introduced in the early 1930s by the American Safety Razor Co., the Gem Micromatic was a pioneering single-edge, twist-to-open (TTO) safety razor designed to compete with Gillette by using thicker, more rigid blades. Known for its "micromatic" alignment (a, b) that secured the blade at multiple points for a closer shave, the line evolved from open-comb models to "clog-proof" versions throughout the 1930s-1940s. Please use all photos attached for condition. Overall this piece withstood the test of time. The only major issue is the Bakelite case is broke between the blade storage area shown in photos.
