It will only fit an original 1955 or 1956 bell housing that has a casting number of 3704922. Does not fit a 6 cylinder. Fits all models Belair , 210 , 150 , sedan delivery , hardtop , sedan , convertible , sport coupe , station wagon and Nomad . Note: It is not uncommon that a 1957 bell housing may be in a 55 or 56. Check your casting number to be sure. If you have a 57 bell housing in your 55-56, just use a 57 boot.
