Check the listing for details. 1976 $2 Shift ERROR 15356442 Neff Treasurer Bicentennial Huge shift error uncirc. Listed at 529.99 USD. FIRST: NOTICE: MOST IMPORTANT: I am not a currency grader, I'm a collector like you. I have won awards writing about coins & currency and have written for investment mags and so on and so forth...BUT... You can call this note 'uncirculated' with the knowledge of the pictures above. How in Hannah's Halter can I call it uncirculated? Well, it's the definition of circulated, Almost uncirculated and so on. I believe, because the note has no wrinkles, and doesn't have that 'used' look, and has great color and zero visable defects. This is my evaluation and I stand by it with the pictures above. Uncirculated could grade out at Gem Uncirculated which means between 60 to 70. I need to talk again to PMG about this one. Maybe it should be graded. I think so. 1976 $2 G 15356442 ABelow I list by the numbers the trouble this note got in. (making it an error note, and for us,the more the merrier.)1) SHIFT ERROR (Green print serial number and seal on the right way out of position. [way too high]2) INK SMEAR on the upper right margin.3) Black seal drifting up. Soon it will be touching the Hymalayas. 4) On reverse of note, in the margin, many ink smears. 5) THE Feature is the condition of this note. Already stated, it appears to be uncirculated. Now I'm not sure how the graders treat uncirculated notes with errors. That's another item I need to discuss If I'm going to have it graded.6) Backplate number is 327) Margin cuts are acceptable, but would keep it from being a 69 or 70.8) I have held this note vertically front and back and NO signs of any deformaties or demerits are seen. That's hard to put on eBay.9) The entire reverse appears perfect including the margin cuts. If you're into error notes, due to all the factors listed above, this one should be seriously thought to be aquired. Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed. If you want it, bid early, often and last. If you don't want to wait til the end of the auction, send me a note. This is a keeper. It's different, for sure and that's precisely what we look for when we collect these items, isn't it? If it also had a neato serial number we'd be in clover. Other than the one I have, I can't find anything like it exactly. The note is signed by the Treasurer Francine NeffNeff took office at a time when the role of Treasurer was being reorganized. The Treasurer was named National Director of the Savings Bonds Division for the first time during her term. She was the first Treasurer to manage a bureau and the first to report to the Undersecretary for Money affairs Neff also oversaw the Treasury-wide program about the bi-centennial If you're just looking, hope you enjoyed it, if you want it, good luck in the bidding. Do it NY style and you'll get it for sure. Oh, By the way, N.Y. style is bid early and bid often, just like voting. Bid last and it's yours. No returns on Currency. It is precisely what I say it is. Pictures show it real good, and you can enlarge it easily.Due to the fact the note is in an unsealed plastic envelope, I cannot accept returns. Very seriously considering having this one graded. Thanks again. Capt. Brian This is an extremely rare error. Good luck!
