Made by the Brown & Sharpe Tool Company, one of the two USA companies that set the standards for precision measuring tools. This caliper is in excellent shape. The case has a wonderful patina for year of use but is in good shape too. Always used and stored inside a shop, never out in the weather. The wood case is of course the original case and is included. New a similar tool just by itself would be $1,345 (Mitutoyo)-$1,567 (Starrett) per the web.
