These quail average 12-14 ounces, with some even larger. They are very fast maturing, laying eggs and ready to butcher by 6-7 weeks old. Eggs ship in foam. For the winter months, I am adding a 120 hour/5 day heat pack to all shipments and shipping priority mail. Don't be surprised if your package feels warm when you get it (you can put your eggs in the incubator immediately) or cool by the time you get it because all we were trying to do was to make sure they didn't freeze. If cool, just let the eggs come to room temperature by sitting out for 5-6 hours before placing in the incubator.
