Check the listing for details. 4/4 Pernambuco Nickel-Mounted Violin Bow 1900’s. Condition: Used. Listed at 399.00 USD. Pernambuco Nickel-Mounted Violin Bow made in the 1900s I'm a professional jazz violinist in Philadelphia and no longer need this bow because I just got a fancy new one for myself! This was my first "step-up" violin bow as a college student and I just haven't been using it in recent years. It pulls a warm sound and is easy to switch from legato to staccato. It's responsive and light-weight. It would be a great back-up bow for a pro violinist or a step-up bow for an aspiring fiddler. The bone tip as a little crack it in (see pictures). This hasn't affected playability or the ability of luthiers to do a rehair. It will probably need a rehair in about 3 months or so, depending on how much you play it. The reason I'm not getting it rehaired now is that I might ship it to a dry climate where the hair will shrink up and be fine.My local luthier valued the bow at $500, but since it has the crack in the bone at the tip, I'm selling it for only $399. Please message me with any questions!
