Common on Kimballs, found on other spinets as well. This is the connecting point for the key and the drop rod. When these harden from age they often produce a click - one way of determining if this is the source of the click is to gently rest your finger on it as you play the key. If the click vanishes it is very possible that is the source of the click. Eventually they harden to the point they break and require replacement.
