The sensor enables 64 individual IR measurements simply via I2C.The measuring range of the sensor is from 0˚C to 80˚C with a measuring accuracy of ± 2.5˚C and a measuring frequency of 10Hz. For example, people can be detected from a distance of 7m. The board is ideal for developing your own thermal camera or for detecting people or warm-blooded animals, for example. The control via I2C is easy with the libraries provided by Adafruit and can be done via Arduino board or Raspberry Pi.
