I bought from a older gentleman who said this was his great grandfathers unmarked 19th Century tin powder flask the bottom is tin the top he said is brass the top is heavy the bottom of it is light he said he was told the purpose of this flask were essential for muzzle loading firearms to safely store and pour powder. it has a lot of tiny pin holes from age. It also has rusty patina gives it cool antique look also has embossed shell on both sides. Please don't quote me if any info is wrong I was told all info from the very nice gentleman look at all pictures Pre-owned
