These 100 year old architectural hardware Balances make a very interesting display piece, for example, if you are putting photographs inside of each antique window sash, then you can display the weights and pulleys around them as an ornamental decoration. Or you could use them to fix your antique window if the window keeps falling when you open it. These were originally created to hold up the old fashioned "6 light" window frames. A rope tied onto the end of these weights is routed inside the window frame attached by a pulley at the top of each window so that window doesn't slam shut when you open it and let go. These weights will hold it open, which is how they got their name: "Balance". I removed each balance from a 100 year-old home built in 1920 Ohio. The buy It now price is $14 each, plus $12 shipping.
