This is an antique Continental silver stipple ground beaker of tapering form with plain style and simple shape. The beaker is circa 1690 and has punched snakeskin ornament with traces of the original gilt finish. It is marked with an assay scrape and an unidentified town or maker’s mark. The beaker stands 3 1/4 inches high and 3 inches in diameter at the top. The side shows evidence of a very old repair (please see images).
