This rare antique Frank Siddalls Primitive Advertising Soap Wooden Counter Display Box with a wire hinged lid has a fabulous paper advertising label on the lid. These crates date back to the late 19th century. The crate was originally used for shipping and could also serve as a s a store display piece. The text o the lid promises clean clothes without boiling or scalding. The crate is in good antique condition with the labels on the lower part of the box mostly or all missing, but the advertising label on the lid is in good condition with some wear. The box measures 16 1/4 inches wide, 10 1/4 inches deep and 6 1/4 inches tall with the lid closed. It is a great old piece of country store advertising!
