This was a top of the line model, identical to the UB-5, material, flange, inlay and all, except for the gold plated trim on the UB-5. Purchased from the original owner’s estate. In beautiful, all original condition, except for new strings. Stamped 8597-92 inside the rim and inside the resonator. Back is walnut stained maple. Fancy abalone inlay and rosewood fingerboard. Finish checking on back of neck, but not unusual for an instrument nearly 100 years old. Grover Patent Presto Ideal tailpiece. Calf skin head in great, shape. Original case is also in remarkable condition, with all latches, hinges, and handle functioning.
