A great piece of antique silver soldered Gorham. it is approximately 3 inches from the base to the highest part of the spout. It has the expected marking that one would find on the bottom for pieces that were issued for various hotels or the navy, etc. I do not recognize the hallmark. Does it look naval to you? I was wondering whether it might represent a naval wheel. It indicates on the bottom that it is a 4 oz vessel. I have seen that same number line on various pieces put out for places like the Erie Hotel in the 1920s. The marking is not for that though. I'm just giving an example to show you the sort of commissions they would get at Gorham. It's a quite lovely piece and has a lovely patina of age to it. (1Kangl)
