The scabbard & hilt are certainly antique, but they are most likely not the original parts. Talismanic kudi tranchang such as this originate from Java, Indonesia (Javanese) and were often used in various offering ceremonies. These knives are often left inside structures like temples or houses. These ancient knives were strictly talismanic, and although quite sharp, they were not intended for use as weaponry.
