Up for sale is a “Lakeside Quality” double bit axe handle in good, used condition. This was found is a pre-1900 built barn and was salvaged by the original owner for reuse but he never actually got around to doing that. It was buried among other axes and farm/garden tools. I think the handle dates to the 20s-30s and was a Montgomery Ward branded line they offered It shows wear and some slight damage but still a nice handle to fit to a axe head for a period correct finish. I don’t know the wood used to assemble the handle but it has an incredibly dark finish. The model is a 1791 and it’s stamped just below Lakeside Quality. It measures 35 7/8 in length and would fit a 3” + diameter eye
