This antique spur really shows it's age but holds a great amount of character. So old, but the leather is still intact. Because the mark U.S. is only partially visible, it is evident it was worn for a long period of time. The Calvaryman that this item belonged to, carved his initials in the leather. This spur believed to be WWl, was manufactured by August Buermann (A.B.) WWI spurs are often stamped "U.S.", "A.B.", or "W.I." and typically nickel-plated.
