Austrian Beaker Engine Turned Design 13 Loth Silver 1847 Antique Austrian 13 Loth (.812,5) silver beaker in engine turned designs, having applied base and top border. Interior is gilt. On the front, there is a shield form reserve with an engraved inscription: "Hoch, Ehre-Freiheit Recht!" ("Up, honor-freedom right!" - Google translate). There is also an inscription with date on the base. Maker's mark "FT". Date mark for 1847. This handsome beaker is 5" tall, 3 1/4" in top diameter and weighs 153 grams or 4.9 ozs Troy. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
