The half-Bahamian dollar note is dated 2001 and signed by Central Bank of Bahamas Governor Julian W. Francis. It is a green and yellow note that measures 156 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side shows straw baskets, the map of the Bahamas, and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Its reverse side shows Sister Sarah Johnson in the Nassau Market. Security features include the sand dollar registration device, a windowed security thread with demetalized BAHAMAS, and a Spanish galleon watermark.
