Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE I AM NOT SELLING A KIT, only new, full-size copies of rare PLANS for a BELLANCA FLASH UC 46" model + construction article from Mechanics Illustrated magazine to build one of your own. Walter Musciano, one of the most renowned model airplane designers of all time, created the finest UC scale models that any scratch builder could ever hope to build. Walter loved to find obscure planes to model and this BELLANCA "FLASH" is certainly a rare one. To the best of my knowledge this is the only PLAN of the BELLANCA "FLASH" ever published. With a 46" span & .60 engine, this Mechanix Illustrated PLAN featured a stunt airfoil! The noted model designer and artist S. Calhoun Smith did the beautiful cutaway views of the model that are in pictures 1 & 2. Most scratch model builders will want to put a Fox .35 in this scale stunt model, so I have also enlarged the PLAN to produce a 56" wing span. (The original 46" wing span PLAN should qualify for Old Time Stunt. So, if you want the smaller PLAN, just let me know and I will send that one instead of the enlarged plan.) The PLAN calls for an aluminum cowl (which old timers used to make from a kitchen sauce pan), or you can make a cylindrical cowl from balsa wood. I include a Handy Hint illustration on how to make tapered wing ribs. I AM NOT SELLING A KIT, only nice 56" SPAN enlarged copy of the original Mechanix Illustrated PLAN. P.S. With over 1000 original plans in my collection I have almost all Mechanix Illustrated model airplane PLAN ever published. So if there is a real oldie you've always wanted, ask me about it and I may have it. “Great to deal with, would do so again. Well packaged items, copies are well done. Thank you very much.” ~ Michael B. East Meadow, NY
