Subframe and Differential bushing Removal/ Installation tool for all of the following chassis:E34Used to remove the two factory subframe bushings from above platform. Also doubles as installation tool.Removal of the bushings without this tool but is extremely difficult as there is no real area to push against the subframe except for the two narrow edges of the subframe exposed thru notches molded into the bushing. People often use heat and burn them out, however this exposes you to the toxic smoke of the burning rubber and also the heat can soften the metal of the subframe and obviously destroy the paint exposing it to corrosion. Solid aluminum bushings should be greased on both the inside of the subframe and the outside of bushing before installing.Washers are cut from high strength steel. Bronze oil impregnated sleeve & thrust bearings are installed on both sides of the main cup to aid in an effortless removal/ or installation. They also serve to protect the threaded rod from damage as it slides thru it. Flange nuts are provided to evenly distribute the forces on bronze thrust bearings and to help everything stay as parallel as possible during the process. A lock nut is provided so you can keep the appropriate end from not turning.
