It was made by Litton Corp under the designation M937. You can see that the red sealed purge screw underneath designates that it was made for teams exiting submarines. Beautiful clear Gen 3 tube. It was tested and it will take the recoil of a 30 caliber and is built like a tank. These were made to use on rifles as well as machine guns. Vey nice piece for any collection.
