The back loop is brown leather as well as the knife strap. Sewn together with a Cobra class 4 leather sewing machine. We use a 277 nylon thread so it will NEVER come apart. The sheath will fit up to a 1 1/2 inch belt. Measurements: Over all length is 11 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Lined with high quality leather to protect your knife. All edges are rounded and finished.
