This uncirculated 500 Cambodian riel note is dated 1996 and signed by Bank Governor Thor Peng Leath and General Cashier Tieng Seng. It was introduced by the National Bank of Cambodia in 1995. It is a red and purple note that measures 133 mm x 62 mm. Its obverse side shows the national emblem and the Angkor Wat. Its reverse side depicts an animal sculpture and a view of a rice paddy. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a lotus flower pattern watermark.
