When installing the bottom adapter please place your ram in a vise and with a large wrench or bar through the holes sock it in as far as possible. These male adapters fail and strip if they are not screwed as far as possible into ram bottom.When installing your female adapter it is recommended to remove the top male factory adapter from your ram otherwise it will spin and could crack the return spring inside the ram. If you cannot remove the top adapter I have used a pump to extend the ram and with aluminum angle placed the shaft whilst open into a vise not to damage shaft and then install female adapter and avoid spinning the shaft.
