Coda was a top-notch and very well-written jazz magazine from Canada. It was co-edited by Bill Smith (who loved avant-garde jazz) and John Norris (who preferred swing) for the first 300 issues and stayed at a high quality until its end 41 issues later.. Each issue had a healthy dose of both in addition to other types of jazz. It covered a wide variety of styles with insightful writing, excellent interviews and informative recording and concert reviews. I have many issues for sale at $10 apiece with free shipping in the U.S. If you are interested in buying at least 5, make me an offer. Any student or fan of jazz should be quite interested in these mostly rare and valuable magazines.
