This product doubles the stock coil ear thickness and adds extra support to the lower shaft. This removes the stress that is put on the factory coil ears that leads to them breaking. NOTE This stiffener is designed to use the factory bolt that is supplied with the Equinox series detector minus the nut. the stiffener has a through on one end and a threaded hole on the other end to eliminate uneven pressure on the coil ears. If you are purchasing this for the Minelab XTerra Pro you would need to purchase the equinox blot separately unless you have one.
