Check the listing for details. Composer Alec Wilder Handwritten Letter Signed. Condition: Used. Listed at 99.99 USD. Nice signed note from from composer Alec Wilder to Radio Personality Joe Thompson who worked at NBC in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco as well as KQED in San Francisco and often interviewed music and other celebrities. This came with a number of other signed letters to Thompson which date from the 1950s to 1970's. They were apparently obtained from an employee at the San Francisco radio station Thompson worked at many years ago. ON page 89 of Thompson's memoir The Music World of Joe Thompson (Musicworld Publishing 1990) he states "Among the people I treated: . . . Alec Wilder (came to my apartment) . . . " The book namedrops hundreds of celebrities he knew or featured on various shows. This piece measures 6 by 5.5 inches. Wilder's autograph is uncommon. Combine wins to save on shipping.
