This precision CNC focus shaft was made from a stainless-steel rod. Moreover, this shaft has a seamless feel and provides a smooth operation of the controls. The stainless-steel condenser pinion was carefully crafted to exact specifications, which replaces Nikon's part number 2B264-001-1. Its special features include: * A metal gear providing extended life over all plastics. * Basic instructions and 30 minutes of free phone technical support. To ensure the focus shaft and condenser pinion are lubricated and move freely, I’ll include a small sample of Nye's 362HB and 368AXF synthetic greases to get the job done. Note: always ensure the focus shaft and condenser dovetail are lubricated with synthetic grease so there is no gassing off or reaction with the various materials used in the surrounding components (e.g., plastic, nylon, brass, etc.). Double check that everything moves freely before installing any new shafts or pinions. The YS2's gear train shown in the picture is not included. Actual amounts of grease samples may vary from 2-6ml.
