Check the listing for details. Crankshaft Sensor Fits For Citroen C3 2002-Onwards. Condition: New. Listed at 14.98 USD. CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSORS (CSS) Also known as a crank angle, engine speed or RPM sensor, the crankshaft position sensor (CSS) is usually located near the crankshaft or cambelt and its function is to measure the speed of the crankshaft so that the ECU can determine the engine speed which is vital for controlling various engine parameters. A failed crankshaft position sensor will cause the engine management light to illuminate, inconsistent/jerky acceleration, engine stalling and can even result in misfires or the engine not starting at all due to the sensor not providing an accurate signal. Due to their location, these sensors are prone to damage by excessive heat coming from the engine, vibration and damaged wiring so the cable should be checked for any cuts or splits.
