It's got a complete oval of steel EZ track (from Bachmann) along with Bachmann's small but reliable train set controller. Unlike many starter sets, this set also includes a switch and extra track needed to make a siding, expanding the possibilities for operations and play. The engine is a recently fixed up Bachmann FT-A painted for New York Central, suitable for use on DC power. This set also comes with a lot of cars - one caboose, five custom weathered hopper cars, and one boxcar. All freight cars have been adjusted to have the correct coupler heights, and the caboose and boxcar have both had weights added inside to bring them in line with NMRA recommendations (the hopper cars I couldn't do - there's no good place to hide the weights without adding a load, but as you can see in the video these ones work pretty well as is). In one picture and the video you see a different switch with gray roadbed - that is not included, the black one that is still packaged up is included, but I wanted to set it up to demonstrate without taking that one out of its packaging. I'll also be tossing a short typed guide and some spare rail joiners in the box for you! The track included should all have rail joiners, but those do occasionally fall off so having a couple spares is always good.
